HERE TO HELP YOU WEATHER THE STORM
The Fayetteville area is home to all types of weather with severe conditions threatening the exterior of your home. High winds, hail, a heavy snowfall or a major rainstorm can damage your roof, leading to the need for an emergency repair or a roof replacement–and a tiring insurance process.
Thankfully, if your roof is damaged and you decide to move forward with a claim, Blue Ribbon Roofing is here to help! As an insured roofing contractor, we are well versed in filing an insurance claim and have the experience and integrity to guide you through the entire process. You can count on us to be there for you every step of the way to answer any questions, explain procedures and offer clarification when you need it.
Here’s how the insurance claim process works.
Step One: Roof Inspection
At Blue Ribbon, we offer a free roof inspection. We will fully inspect your roof for any damage and take pictures of our findings as documentation. Following the inspection, we’ll sit down with you, go over our findings and advise you of your options. If the inspection indicates there is enough damage to file a claim, we’ll walk you through the process.
Step Two: Meet With Insurance Adjuster
After a claim is filed with your insurance carrier, its insurance adjuster will contact you within 24 to 48 hours to schedule an appointment to inspect your roof’s damage. Once you have the date and time of this inspection locked in, contact Blue Ribbon. We will make ourselves available for that inspection in case you or the adjustor needs us. If you would like, we are more than willing to meet the adjuster at your house to go over our findings.
Step Three: Approval of Claim & Fixing Your Roof
Once the claim is approved, you will receive the insurance company’s assessment. This report is usually about 10 pages long and may be difficult for you to understand. This is where you’ll be especially happy to have Blue Ribbon on your side. A trained specialist from our team will meet with you and go over the report, page by page, to make sure you understand everything.
Step Four: Fixing Your Roof
At the same time your claim is approved, you will receive your first check, which is usually about 50% to 70% of the total claim. Your insurance company will send you the final payment once they have confirmation that the job is completed. Blue Ribbon will agree, in writing, to replace your roof for what the insurance company pays, plus your deductible. The only thing that comes out of your pocket will be your deductible.
To start the job, we require a 50% deposit, which should be covered by the first check you receive from the insurance company. Once we receive this, our roofing contractors will get to work.
Upon job completion, Blue Ribbon will provide the insurance company with the necessary paperwork to get your final check released to you. This paperwork usually consists of a certificate of completion and a copy of the invoice showing what you paid for the roof.
Step Five: Payment
While we require a 50% deposit to begin working on your roof, we don’t require final payment until the job is completed. In the case of an insurance claim, we will wait until you receive your final payment from your insurance company to collect our final payment.
Let’s Raise Your Roof Together
Blue Ribbon Roofing is committed to standing by your side through the insurance claim process at no charge. However, we are making an investment in you and hope that you, in turn, will make an investment in us by trusting us to perform your roof replacement or repair.
